Personally, I often find all sorts of things from gloves forgotten on a bench to real treasures. Once, for example, I found a neatly folded embroidered scarf with a small token with a name on it. I hung it on the fence nearby, hoping that the owner would return. And, imagine, a couple of hours later I walked past the scarf was gone. I want to believe that it returned to its owner.
One of the most touching cases is a lost children's toy. A small plush bunny was lying right at the entrance to the park. I couldn't pass by, so I put it on a bench so that it could be seen better. And a day later, when I was in the same park again, I saw a mother and her baby happily hugging that same bunny. They found it.
Of course, sometimes the finds are funny or strange, a single shoe, a postcard without an address, or even someone else's shopping list. Such little things make you fantasize about who it was, where they were rushing to, why they left it?
