👶 Early emotions: is this already love?
Psychologists note that children aged 4–6 are already capable of experiencing their first crushes. They can say: “This is my fiancé” or “I will marry him.” Of course, this is not yet love in the mature sense - rather, emotional attachment, interest and imitation of adult behavior patterns. But the feelings are sincere. The child may be bored, jealous, dream of a meeting. This is the emotional beginning of love, and it is worth taking into account.
👧 9–12 years old: first serious crush
At this age, children can already experience real sympathy, sometimes with a strong emotional response: increased heartbeat, excitement, desire to please, write notes, show care.
The first jealousy, embarrassment, and resentment may also appear. All these are signs of real feelings, albeit not yet fully realized.
🧠 Teenage love: an explosion of emotions
From 12–14 years old, that very stormy period begins when feelings reach a new level. This can be true love - with all its depth, pain, dreams and drama.
Many adults devalue teenage love, calling it "temporary". But in fact, it is often remembered for a lifetime - precisely because it was the first, pure and very strong.
❓ And when is "true" love?
True love is not determined by age. It is determined by the ability to feel, give, care and accept another as he is.
For some, it comes at 14. For others, it comes only at 30. And some confuse love with addiction or habit their whole lives.
💬 SUMMARY
First love can appear very early - sometimes even in kindergarten.
Yes, it is different from adult love, but this does not mean that it is not serious.
The main thing is not to devalue the feelings of a child or teenager. Because it is at this age that the ability to love is formed - sincerely, deeply and truly.
