Have you ever found yourself in situations that seemed to have been pulled out of an absurd dream? I had exactly that kind of day. An ordinary morning, an ordinary bus, but... unusual passengers.

I sat by the window, with my headphones on, trying to ignore the morning crush. And then I noticed a man in a coat with... a hamster on his shoulder. Yes, a living one. He was whispering something in his ear, and the hamster seemed to even nod. I turned away from the music to make sure I wasn't imagining things. No, I wasn't imagining things.

Two stops later, a woman with a huge bouquet of gladioli got on the bus. Not just a bouquet - she was handing out flowers to passengers. No explanation. I got one too. I sat there with the hamster next to me and the gladiolus in my hands, feeling like the heroine of a surreal novel.

And then… Then it started raining inside the bus. No, really. The guy in the back seat had his bottle of mineral water burst, and he was so confused that he just sat there while the water dripped from the ceiling. Everyone around laughed, even the driver.

I got off at my stop, still holding the gladiolus, and realized: sometimes weird things are just the universe's way of reminding us that life is much more interesting than we think.
