I never make serious decisions just like that. I have a whole set of... oddities for this.
For example, if I need to say "yes" or "no" to something important, I first have to imagine it in three different colors. If the decision seems right in blue, questionable in red, and neutral in green, then I need to think some more.
Or else: I write the question on paper, burn it (safely, of course - over the sink), and then watch the ashes fall. If it flies into large pieces - it's "no". If it crumbles into fine dust - "yes".
The funniest thing is that it works. Well, at least it seems that way to me.
Maybe it's just a way to trick the brain so that it doesn't panic. Or maybe it really is some kind of magic. But you know what? The main thing is the result.
