Digital minimalism. how i made life and technology work together
id: 10057255

I deleted all productivity apps. Because I realized that they make me more anxious, not more efficient. Instead, I now have three simple rules.

1. One screen — one task.
Before, I could simultaneously write a message, check my email, and scroll through my feed. My phone became a black hole into which hours would disappear. Now I do this: if I open my maps, it means I’m only looking for an address. If I open a messenger, I’m only replying to a message.

2. Technologies are servants, not masters.
I set up notifications so that they work for me. Social networks don’t beep about every like, but my calendar reminds me not only of meetings, but also that it’s time to drink water.

3. Digital sunset.
After 9 p.m., my phone becomes a “brick.” Black and white screen, only calls and messages from loved ones. The first few days were weird, but now these hours are my favorite time.

The funniest thing? When you stop chasing productivity, there is more of it. Because finally there is time to think, and not just react.
