I've noticed a strange habit in myself - to run all the time. From work to meetings, from meetings to business. I even drink my morning coffee on the go. But recently I decided to stop.
I went into the nearest coffee shop, took a paper cup and went to the park. I sat on a bench and for the first time in a long time allowed myself to just look. At people walking with children. At a man reading a book alone. At a girl feeding pigeons, not paying attention to passers-by.
And suddenly I realized that this is real luxury - to allow yourself to be in the moment.
We are used to thinking that rest is a vacation, trips, new countries. But in reality, rest can be just sitting in the park with a coffee and not rushing anywhere.
I want to keep this feeling in myself as a reminder: sometimes you need to allow yourself small pauses. After all, they make life softer and warmer.
