The internet as a refuge: why do we hide behind screens💓🌟
id: 10049770

Today everything is different. Today we seek communication through screens, likes and messages.

The Internet has become our salvation, and sometimes it seems that it is impossible to live without it.

Why is that?

Has modern communication become easier or have we simply become more withdrawn?

I think it is both fear and convenience.

We are afraid of being rejected, afraid to show our true selves, afraid to open up first. Online, we can choose our words, edit our emotions, control every step.

We create a space for ourselves where we can be ourselves, but only in parts, where mistakes do not hurt so much.

Sometimes I feel sad that real life is hidden behind all these chats and correspondence.
We learn to love emoticons more than touch, text messages more than face-to-face conversations.
We seek security in the virtual world, and it gives us confidence, but deprives us of spontaneity and real emotions.

And yet, perhaps this is our way of protecting ourselves.

We are afraid of being rejected, afraid that we will not be understood, that we will not be accepted as we are.

But this fear has its own paradox: the more we hide behind screens, the stronger the desire for real contact, a sincere look, a hug that no like or message can replace grows.

The Internet is not only a refuge, but also a chance.

A chance to meet someone who will understand, who will see us for who we are, who will appreciate not only a beautiful profile, but also an inner world, thoughts and dreams.

It gives the opportunity to choose, but at the same time teaches us to wait and be patient.

I often think that we have not become worse, we have simply adapted. We have adapted to a world that sometimes seems too fast and too cruel.
We seek security, but deep down we still wait to meet real life.

The life where a smile is more important than a smiley, a hug is stronger than words, and real feelings are brighter than any virtual correspondence.

And maybe that is why it is so important for us to find people who are ready to go beyond the screen.
Who see us, hear us, appreciate us.

Because behind every smile on the Internet there is a heart that wants to live, love and be real???
