Music for me is like an invisible engine. As soon as you turn on the right track, the day immediately changes. I noticed that it is music that determines my productivity.
There are morning tracks that set the tone. Usually it is light jazz or electronic music without words. Something that creates a feeling of a fresh start. I pour coffee, open my laptop and feel that the day is just beginning and everything is possible ahead.
I have different rules for working with texts. I turn on instrumental compositions - piano or lo-fi beats. They create a rhythm, but do not distract with words. I noticed: as soon as I turn on such a playlist, my brain seems to tune in to a wave of concentration.
But for inspiration, I have my own collection. It has everything from classical to electronic. Sometimes Mozart, sometimes Daft Punk. It all depends on the task: if you need to come up with something new, the music should be unexpected.
Sometimes music works better than coffee. When you feel tired, turn on a fast beat - and suddenly there is energy.
I keep my playlists as little life preservers. One for morning energy, another for focus, a third for evenings when you need to finish things.
I guess the secret to productivity is not only to-do lists and time management. Sometimes it is enough to just press "play".
