I used to underestimate sleep. I could sit up until three in the morning, watch movies or scroll through the feed, and in the morning complain that I had no energy. But one day I realized: no diet, no procedures will give the same result that quality rest gives.
I started an experiment. Go to bed no later than eleven. Put away your phone an hour before bed. Replace bright light with warm light. And, oddly enough, this changed a lot.
After a week, my head stopped hurting in the morning. After two, I noticed that my skin became fresher. And after a month, I realized: I became much calmer, I am less irritated by little things, I began to cope better with stress.
Sleep is like exercise for the brain. We don't see how it works at this moment, but we feel the result every morning. And when you understand that your body is grateful to you for your care, you want to continue.
Now I can say with confidence: sleep is the most honest and free gift to yourself. And if I have to choose between another episode and an extra hour of sleep, I choose the pillow. Because that's where my real recovery begins.
