Brazil is the undisputed leader. The country produces about a third of the world's coffee. Both Arabica and Robusta are grown here. Coffee plantations are spread over vast territories, and the climate is ideal for ripening beans.
2. Vietnam
In second place is Vietnam. Here, mainly Robusta is grown, which is valued for its strength and high caffeine content. Thanks to this, the country has become the main supplier of raw materials for instant coffee.
3. Colombia
Colombian coffee is known for its mild taste and bright aroma. Here, mainly Arabica is grown. Colombia is proud of its coffee and even makes it part of the national culture.
4. Indonesia
Here, coffee is grown on the islands of Sumatra, Java, and Sulawesi. Indonesian coffee has an earthy, rich taste and is often used in blends.
5. Ethiopia
Ethiopia is considered the birthplace of coffee. You can still find wild coffee trees here. Ethiopian coffee is prized by gourmets for its fruity and floral notes.
Other producing countries
Large volumes of coffee are also grown in Honduras, Uganda, Peru, India, and Guatemala. Each country brings something of its own to coffee beans - taste, aroma, processing features.
