My ideal evening does not begin with TV or a phone. It begins with me going out onto the balcony, even if only for five minutes, and watching the sun go down over the horizon. At this moment, the air seems thick, with the smell of the last warm days, and I want to hold on to this feeling.
After that, I prepare myself something small but tasty: cheese, some fruit, tea or a glass of wine. Not because I'm hungry, but because the cooking process becomes part of the ritual. I put everything on the table, choose a candle, sometimes turn on quiet music.
The ideal evening for me is a feeling of space for myself. I can read, write notes, sketch in a notebook or just look out into the street. Sometimes I listen to a playlist that doesn’t demand attention, but simply envelops me in atmosphere.
I love it when the evening slowly flows. No rush, no expectations. Just me and my little rituals. Sometimes I allow myself to dream, make plans, sometimes I just watch the world go on independently of me.
Light is especially important for my ideal evening. It is soft, warm, without harsh shadows. I light candles, lamps with a soft shade to create coziness and safety. In this light, the world seems friendlier, and thoughts are clearer.
Sometimes my ideal evening ends with a walk along quiet streets. A light breeze, deserted sidewalks, lanterns - all this creates a feeling of complete presence. I return home in a different state: light, calm, filled.
And it is important for me that the ideal evening is not about events, not about companies or entertainment. It's about paying attention to yourself, creating an atmosphere where you can be honest with yourself. It allows you to reboot, feel life and the little joys that sometimes slip away in the daily hustle and bustle.
