This morning I woke up before the alarm, although I slept little and the dream was strange, almost like scenes from a movie. The room was quiet, and this feeling of silence seemed to envelop me, making every movement important. I don't expect a perfect morning with sunbeams, the aroma of coffee and perfect clothes. Silence is enough for me.
I slowly stretched, listening to the city waking up: somewhere in the distance, doors creaked, a barely noticeable hum of cars could be heard. And this is not annoying, it reminds me that the world is alive, and I can enjoy my pause. Sometimes I just sit on the windowsill, look at the light haze over the roofs and think that happiness can be in such small moments.
Today I decided not to rush with breakfast. I made myself some mint tea, a couple of dried fruits and a light avocado sandwich. The cooking process turned out to be meditative: cutting, mixing, smells - everything is like a separate little life. And I realized that in this simplicity there is the morning that I love.
I don’t wait for someone to come in and ask if I want coffee or how I slept. I enjoy my time. Sometimes I turn on music - but only quietly, so that it does not disturb the harmony of silence. Sometimes I am silent and think about yesterday's events, sometimes - about what I will do today, but without stress. I just observe myself.
It seems to me that the morning is like a clean slate, and silence gives the opportunity to feel its texture, structure and shades. Every sip of tea, every breath is like a small stroke on this sheet. And this feeling of belonging to yourself brings a strange, but real pleasure.
Sometimes I watch the sunbeams breaking through the curtains, and I understand that no ideal morning setting can replace this. It is the silence that makes the morning special. Sometimes, without even opening my eyes completely, I feel how the world around me lives its own rhythm, and I can simply be a part of this rhythm, without obligations, without plans.
I noticed that such moments of silence are like a small exercise for the soul. I catch every feeling, every sound, every smell. And even if the day is hectic, this piece of morning silence stays with me like an anchor, like a reminder: there is time for yourself.
