There was a time when I thought the mirror was a judge — always waiting to find something wrong.
“This part’s not right,” “that’s too much,” “why not different?” — those thoughts used to spin in my head every morning.
But then I realized:
The mirror isn’t the problem. It simply reflects what is.
The real question is — how do I choose to see myself?
I began to shift my inner dialogue:
Instead of “You’re not perfect,” I’d say, “You’re human — and that’s beautiful.”
Instead of “Why like this?” I’d ask, “What can I do for myself today?”
I chose tenderness over judgment.
It didn’t happen overnight, and not every morning is easy.
But little by little, I started to notice not just flaws, but small victories — a smile, a spark in my eyes, warmth in my heart.
Looking at yourself with love isn’t about ignoring growth —
It’s about acceptance.
Acceptance of yourself as a whole person, with all your imperfections and all your beauty.
And if you sometimes get stuck in self-criticism, try telling yourself this:
“I deserve kindness — just as much as I deserve to grow.”
