Tea for stress

Everyone has their own ways to cope with fatigue. Some go to the gym, others turn on loud music. I have my own simple therapy: a cup of tea.

I've noticed that the brewing process itself is calming. You take out your favorite mug, add the herbs, pour boiling water over it, and watch the water gradually change color. It only takes a couple of minutes, but those minutes help you slow down.

I have a few favorite blends. Chamomile and mint, which I drink in the evening when I want to fall asleep easily. Ginger and lemon, if I'm feeling tired. And a special tea I brought back from a trip—with lavender, slightly sweet and very aromatic.

Sometimes I turn on soft lighting, brew some tea, and just sit in silence. In such moments, even the most difficult thoughts seem simpler. Everything isn't so scary when you have a warm mug in your hands.

I think tea is a small ritual of self-care. It doesn't solve problems, but it helps you look at them more calmly. And perhaps that's precisely its magic: it reminds you that you always have a few minutes to give just to yourself.
