I can't be happy about, for example, feeling sluggish or heavy just because "I have to accept myself." For me, self-love means not allowing my body to suffer, but rather, taking care of it. Moving, eating right, taking care of myself to stay in shape and feel light.
I respect the choices of others, but for me, body positivity doesn't equate to laziness and self-indifference. I believe in a healthy lifestyle, discipline, and the feeling of confidence that comes when you look in the mirror and truly like your reflection.
Being yourself is wonderful. But for me, it means never stopping and striving for the best version of yourself. So let trends remain trends, and I choose my path—the path of health, movement, and inner strength.
