My love for aromatherapy began by chance. One day, I walked into a store and smelled orange essential oil. It was so bright and joyful that I couldn't pass it by. I bought a small bottle and didn't know what to do with it for a long time. But then I read that you can put a few drops in an aroma lamp, and that evening I tried it.
That's when I realized: scents can change mood more powerfully than words. Orange made the room warm and sunny, even though there was a cold wind blowing outside.
So I began exploring essential oils. Lavender helps you sleep, mint refreshes your thoughts, eucalyptus seems to clear your breath, and ylang-ylang creates a feeling of softness. I bought an aroma diffuser and gradually learned to mix scents. Sometimes it happened by accident, sometimes I specifically searched for recipes.
Aromatherapy has become more than just a hobby for me. It's helped me listen to myself. One day I'm drawn to citrus, the next to woody or floral scents. It turns out our bodies know what scents they need.
Now it's my way of taking care of myself. I come home after a hard day, put a few drops of oil in, and within minutes my mood changes. Scents have become like music—they create an atmosphere and adapt to my soul.
And the most amazing thing: sometimes a single scent can take me back in time—to a trip, a meeting, or my childhood. And it's magical.
