2025 was a difficult year for me. Moving to another country. A breakup. And... silence. No, not the kind that scares you, but the kind that finally allows you to hear yourself. And in that silence, I clearly understood what I'm no longer willing to accept in relationships.
The year of new guidelines began with a simple decision: I'm no longer ashamed of my boundaries.
I'm not willing to accept uncertainty. "We're just talking" or "we'll see how it goes," and then "I'll text you later." If someone doesn't see me in their future, then that's not my future. My time is my most valuable resource, and I won't lend it to someone with uncertain prospects.
I'm not willing to accept emotional laziness. When questions like "How are you?" are a formality, and true feelings are hidden behind the phrase "everything is fine." I need a dialogue, not a monologue. Partnership is when two people carry a suitcase, not when one drags it up a mountain while the other just pretends to.
I'm cutting broken promises from my life. Words have become too cheap. Now my guide is only actions. Not "I appreciate you," but concrete attention. Not "we'll definitely do it someday," but an open calendar and shared plans.
2026 is the year I will no longer shrink to make someone else's life more comfortable. I'm looking for someone who wants to grow alongside me, not someone for whom I'll serve as a backdrop. My goal is clear, and my compass is set for mutual respect and interest. Anything else is no longer my path! 😉😘
