If you celebrate the New Year in your pajamas with a glass of wine and a salad, it means the year will be cozy and honest.
If you celebrate in a dress, high heels, and a smile, the year will probably decide you're ready for adventure.
And if you've already changed your clothes three times and had a falling out with your hair, well, the year will be eventful.
I've noticed one pattern.
The less we try to make the New Year perfect, the more fun it turns out to be.
The most memorable gatherings always happen where something went wrong. The salad failed, the champagne boiled over, the toast got messed up—but the laughter remains. They also say it's important to be in a good mood.
But let's be honest: sometimes a good mood comes after the first toast.
And that counts, too. The universe isn't as strict as we think. And if you celebrate the New Year with those who make you feel at ease and have fun, then the year will be about people.
About talking until the early hours, about support, about spontaneity.
And even if plans change, at least it won't be boring.
Personally, I've decided this.
If I laugh when the chimes strike, the year will be fun.
If I make a wish, it means the year has a task.
And if I'm simply happy, then everything is already right.
So celebrate the New Year as best you can.
With laughter, in comfort, dancing in the kitchen, or under a blanket.
The year will eventually adapt.
