I'm allergic to cold: how i live with it every day
id: 10044828

A cold allergy isn't a whim or a fantasy. The body reacts to low temperatures as if they were a dangerous enemy. Some people's hands and face suffer, others' lips and ears, and sometimes the reaction even appears after a cold shower or air conditioning in the summer.

The hardest part is the lack of understanding from others. "Just dress warmer," "Everyone does this in winter," "Just get through it"—sound familiar? But when the body reacts with pain and discomfort, you want support, not advice.

Over time, I learned to live with it:

I always protect my skin;

I avoid sudden temperature changes;

I listen to my body, not to other people's comments.

My cold allergy taught me the most important thing—to take care of myself. I no longer ignore my body's signals or try to prove that I'm "like everyone else." I am me, and being comfortable is important to me.

If you experience this, you're not alone. It's not a weakness or an oddity. It's simply a characteristic that you can learn to live with 💙
