about myself when i stopped rushing
id: 10058163

For a long time, I lived in a hurry.

I rushed decisions.
I rushed relationships.
I rushed life itself, afraid that slowing down meant falling behind.

Stopping didn’t happen suddenly.
It came after exhaustion.

When I finally slowed down, I noticed things I had been ignoring.
How often I made choices just to keep moving.
How rarely I checked whether those choices actually suited me.

Without constant rush, my priorities became clearer.
I started listening to my own reactions instead of external pressure.
Some things that once felt urgent lost their importance.

I learned that not everything needs an immediate response.
Not every opportunity deserves a yes.
And not every silence means something is wrong.

Slowing down helped me understand myself better.
What motivates me.
What drains me.
What truly matters in the long term.

Life didn’t become smaller when I stopped rushing.
It became more intentional.

Now, I move forward at my own pace.
Not because I’m unsure — but because I’m aware.

And that awareness has made my decisions stronger, not slower.
