Today, there was an 80-year-old man on my shift.
He was serious, quiet, with a look in his eyes as if life had already taught him a lot.
I was doing my usual procedures - nothing special.
And suddenly he looked at me and said quietly:
“You know, girl... it's good that you smile. It makes it easier to breathe right away 😊.”
I froze for a second.
Sometimes hospitals lack not medicine, but simple human warmth 🤍
I went out into the corridor and caught myself thinking: how little it takes to make someone feel calmer. One word, one glance, one smile...
Have you noticed how such little things can change your whole day?
That's probably why I still believe in people and in closeness.
And that somewhere there is a man with whom it can be just as simple - without loud words, but truly. Sharing silence, tea after a hard day, and the feeling of “I am not alone.” ✨
Is it important to you to have someone nearby with whom you can breathe easily?
With warmth,
Svetlana 💫
