But if you want something real, deep, and warm something that doesn't shatter at the first encounter with everyday life you'll have to step out of your comfort zone. You'll have to see me as a person, not a function. Accept my shadow as well as my light.
And the most terrible and beautiful thing is to simultaneously show your true self. Without the "macho" armor, without the eternal joke, without the image of "savior" or "breadwinner." Just a man who sometimes gets tired, doubts, feels sad, and just wants to be hugged.
Illusion is lighter, brighter, and requires no effort. But it bursts like a soap bubble.
Reality is work. Sometimes hard. Sometimes incredibly rewarding.
I'm not a picture-perfect girl. I'm real. I can be awkward, diverse, and complex. But if you choose my reality, my unvarnished reality, you'll get me whole. With all the tenderness, passion, care, and loyalty a real woman is capable of.
Think about it. What do you really want? A pretty picture you can flip through when you're tired? Or a woman who will stand shoulder to shoulder with you through any wind?
