And it’s in this pause that stereotypes begin to be born.
For some reason, many men still associate pole dancing not with sports, not with the art of movement, not with incredible strength and endurance — but with a very narrow and often offensive idea of femininity.
As if if a woman dances on a pole — she is automatically:
– frivolous 🙄
– too open
– “not for a serious relationship”
– or generally just looking for attention 👀
But the truth is completely different.
Pole dancing is about strength. Real physical strength that is not so easy to gain 💪
It's about discipline - when you fall, the bruises don't go away for weeks, but you go to training again 🩹
It's about control over your body.
About balance.
About endurance.
About self-confidence that cannot be played ✨
It's a sport that teaches you to love your body not for how it looks, but for what it can do 🤍
And it's also about femininity without shame. Without the need to be comfortable or "right" for someone's expectations.
Maybe that's what scares you? 😉
Because a self-confident woman who knows her strength, her limits and is not afraid to be herself is no longer the image that some men are used to. She is more difficult to control. She doesn't need to be "saved". She will not tolerate what doesn't suit her 🚫
And no - my hobby does not make me less serious.
Does not make me frivolous.
And it definitely doesn't define my moral principles.
It just means that I love movement. I love challenges. I love life ❤️🔥
And maybe I need a man next to me who sees pole dancing not as a stereotype… but as a strength 💞
And what do you think about women with unusual hobbies? 😊
