A yarn shop, knitting, and unexpected philosophy
id: 10057942

A week ago I decided to learn knitting. Why?
Because the internet promises it calms your nerves and makes you happy!
I entered a small yarn shop. It smelled like wool, tea, and peacefulness.

The shop assistant, a woman about sixty, asked: What do you need the yarn for?

I answered honestly: I’m not sure yet. But I feel like my life needs a scarf.

She nodded very seriously.
We started choosing yarn.
Five minutes later I held five colorful balls of yarn.

Do you knit?-she asked
Not yet. But I hope to start!

She smiled and said something memorable: Knitting is like relationships. If you pull too hard, everything unravels :))

I froze...

My past relationships unraveled exactly like that.
I bought yarn, needles, and left the shop feeling like I had attended a philosophy class.

Now I have a plan.
Knit a scarf.
And maybe later knit a more stable love life :))
