A quiet home is not an empty home β€” it is a full one.

But I grew up in that silence. And it was the most full thing I have ever known.

My mother didn't fill the house with noise. She filled it with bread that took hours to make, with clean curtains, with a garden that she spoke to in the mornings before anyone else woke up. She filled it with presence. Quiet, consistent, faithful presence 🌿

I think we forgot what fullness actually feels like. We replaced it with entertainment, with distraction, with noise that keeps us from sitting with ourselves long enough to feel anything real. And then we wonder why we feel hollow even when everything around us is loud.

A home doesn't need to perform. It needs to hold people. Gently. Without condition.
