I work at my outlook, genuinely. Not in a performative way — I'm not walking around pretending everything is perfect. But I actively choose, most mornings, to look for what's good. What's funny. What's worth noticing today that I might have missed yesterday 🌻

And it costs something! Some days it costs quite a lot. Some days the cheerful thing to do is honestly the harder thing. But I've found that the alternative — giving in to heaviness, expecting disappointment, framing everything as difficult before it even happens — doesn't actually protect you from hard things. It just makes the good days smaller.

I believe lightness is a skill 💪 And like any skill you can get better at it. You can train yourself to find the funny part, the hopeful part, the "well, at least" part. Not to avoid reality but to survive it without becoming bitter.

Life is genuinely interesting if you let it be. People are genuinely good more often than the news suggests 🌈
