No one will notice the effort. No one will say thank you. Whatever good I managed will dissolve into the ordinary fabric of the day, unremarked, unremembered.
And honestly? Those are the days I trust the most.
Because what I do when no reward is coming — that is the most accurate portrait of who I actually am. Not the version I present. The real one.
My faith teaches me that nothing is truly unseen. That every small honest act has weight, even in silence. I don't carry that as pressure. I carry it as the deepest kind of comfort 🙏
It means my life is not defined by who was watching. It means I can be fully myself in the dark as in the light.
I pray for that consistency. To be the same person in private as in public. To want good things for their own sake, not for what they return to me.
That is the work, I think. Quiet, daily, mostly invisible.
