I genuinely love my own company and i think more people should try it
id: 10057437

There was a period where I couldn't stand too much quiet. I'd fill it with noise, plans, other people, anything. Looking back I think I was a little afraid of what I'd find if I just... sat with myself.

And then at some point I started actually enjoying it. Like discovered-a-new-favourite-café level of enjoying it 😄

Morning coffee alone with a book. A walk with no destination. Cooking something slowly without rushing it. These became genuinely good parts of my week.

Here is what I found inside the quiet: I actually have opinions. I actually have preferences. I know what I like and what I don't and I have my own sense of humour that isn't performed for anyone 😄

I think you learn a lot about yourself when you stop filling every gap.

And honestly? I'm better company for other people now too. I'm not dragging any hidden emptiness into the room. I come as someone who has already sat with herself and arrived at okayness.

That feels like something worth having.

Do you actually enjoy your own company, or is that something you're still working on?
