Gratitude is a discipline, not just a feeling i'll be honest — i don't always feel grateful 🙏

But here's what my faith has taught me: gratitude is not a mood. It is a practice. A deliberate turning of the heart toward what is good, even when what is hard is louder.

There's a verse I return to often — "In everything give thanks" — and for a long time I read it as a kind of impossible standard. In everything? Even this? Even now? But slowly I began to understand that it doesn't mean pretending. It means choosing to look for God's hand even in the middle of the mess ✝️

When I sit in prayer and force myself to name three real things I'm grateful for — not grand things, just real ones — something shifts. The weight doesn't disappear. But it becomes somehow more bearable. More human. More held 🕊️

Gratitude has become one of the most quietly radical things I do. Because the world is very good at teaching us to want more. Faith keeps teaching me to receive what I already have.
