This time is filled with warmth, hope, and a sense of true miracle.
For us, Easter is not just a date on the calendar, but a whole tradition that unites generations. Preparations begin well in advance: we thoroughly clean the house, wash the windows, etc🧹 to celebrate the holiday in a clean and harmonious atmosphere. Particular attention is paid to the kitchen-there's so much deliciousness ahead!
One of our most beloved rituals is making Easter cakes 🧁. We bake them together as a family, and the house is immediately filled with the incredible aroma of vanilla and freshly baked goods. Everyone puts their heart and soul into their creation. We also always dye eggs 🥚-we choose beautiful colors, sometimes draw patterns, or use stickers. It's always fun, especially when my daughter Sofia is involved 🎨😄
On the night before Easter or early in the morning, we go to church ⛪️ to bless Easter cakes, eggs, red wine, sausage, and other treats. The atmosphere there is special-quiet, solemn, and very inspiring. When the chant "Christ is risen!" sounds, it becomes truly bright inside 💫
We celebrate the holiday itself at a large family table 🍽. We always start with the blessed eggs-we bang them hard and see whose egg cracks-the loser. We smile at each other and continue searching for the winner 😊. This is a symbol of new life and the victory of goodness. Then we try the Easter cakes and other dishes-everything seems especially delicious on this day.
But the most important thing isn't the food or even the traditions. It's the feeling of unity, love, and gratitude ❤️ Easter reminds us of the importance of family, faith, and supporting each other.
I really look forward to this holiday every year-and each time it brings something new and bright 🌸
