But they matter to me enormously.
I think I feel this pull because a home — a real home, the kind I want to build one day — isn't something you improvise. It's something you pour yourself into over time. And I want to arrive at that season already carrying something. Not perfect knowledge, obviously — I know I'll learn most of it by doing 😅 But a foundation. A readiness.
My faith tells me that a woman who invests in wisdom before she needs it will not be caught empty-handed. I take that seriously. I think preparing yourself quietly, without fanfare, for something you haven't yet been given is one of the most sincere acts of hope a person can perform. 🙏
And I genuinely want to ask — is it old-fashioned to feel excited about learning how to make a home, or is it simply knowing what you're being built for?
