Men really said "i'll just exist" and it started working. incredible. genuinely iconic behavior.

and it's FINE for them, it somehow works out, nobody asks questions. a man can have one (1) coat, one haircut he's had since 2011, and a cologne he bought at a pharmacy, and he moves through life completely unbothered. no one pulls him aside. no one has opinions. the world simply accepts him.

meanwhile we're out here with seventeen-step routines and still second-guessing our eyebrows.

BUT. and this is the part that actually gets me.

when a man does care — not in a vain way, not in an "I spend more time in the bathroom than you" way, but in a "I actually put thought into how I present myself" way — it is immediately noticeable. like the upgrade is SO visible because the baseline is so low that any effort reads as extraordinary.

clean nails. clothes that actually fit. a haircut that looks intentional. maybe he moisturizes — god forbid — and his skin just looks alive. smells good not because he bathed in cologne but because he chose one scent and understood restraint. stands like he knows where he's going.

women notice. all the women notice. we clock it in three seconds and then look at each other across the room with that look that means — yeah, we both saw it.

the funniest part is it probably takes him an extra twelve minutes a day. twelve minutes! and he becomes the guy everyone remembers.

the effort floor is so low that a little bit of it looks like a skyscraper.
