Sometimes it seems like people's imaginations have no limits, and the more they explore, the more unusual their hobbies become.
For example, there's a hobby called "extreme ironing"—people take an iron and iron clothes in the most unexpected places: on mountaintops, underwater, while skydiving. It seems absurd, but for those involved, it's a way to add an adrenaline rush to an ordinary activity.
There are also more sedate, but no less bizarre, hobbies. Some collect soap from hotels around the world, carefully labeling each bar with its country and year of origin. Others collect small fruit stickers, turning them into entire albums. And then there are people who photograph only forgotten items—gloves, umbrellas, scarves—and create entire galleries of lost stories from them.
Hobbies like these initially make you smile, but then you realize—maybe it's just a different way of seeing the world, more attentive and sensitive to detail.
Is this because people are bored?
