It all starts with matchmaking. Once it was very important, the boy's relatives would come to the girl and ask for permission to marry.

The bride gathers her friends, she has a bachelorette party. It is a little sad, because she seems to be saying goodbye to her maiden life, but at the same time joyful, because a new stage is ahead.

There is no fakery here, only real emotions.
After the wedding, the newlyweds are met in their new home.
There is a tradition when a man carries his wife over the threshold, this is the beginning of their life together and protection from everything bad.
Now a lot has changed, but the foundation has remained. A towel, a loaf of bread, a blessing from parents - this is what still has great importance.

A Ukrainian wedding is about love, warmth and family. And even if time moves forward, these traditions still remain something very dear and real.
