The one whose love begins long before we're born and continues throughout our lives, no matter what.
I have a daughter, Sofia. She'll be 16 this summer. And with each passing year, I realize more and more what a huge role a mother plays in a child's life. When you watch your child grow, watching their character, views, and dreams develop, you begin to appreciate even more deeply how much strength, patience, and love your own mother invested in you.
Mother's Day is a reason to pause in the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reflect. We often take a mother's care for granted: her calls, her worries, her desire to help even when we're adults. But behind this lies an immense, endless love that cannot be measured.
It's important to appreciate our mothers not just on this day, but every day. Saying "thank you," giving a hug, simply spending time together—sometimes it means more to them than any gift. After all, the most important thing for a mother is to know that her child is happy and remembers her.
Becoming parents, we begin to see the world differently. I see this from my own experience. Raising Sofia, I try to give her not only knowledge and support, but also the feeling of love and confidence that my mother once gave me. And I understand how difficult, yet incredibly important, this task is.
Mother's Day is also a reminder of how quickly time flies. Yesterday you were a child, today you are a parent. And those words that once seemed ordinary take on new meaning. We're beginning to appreciate simple things: a warm conversation, a caring look, genuine support.
Let's not forget to tell our mothers how much we love them. Let's make time for them, even when it feels like there's none. Because a mother is always there with her heart, regardless of distance or circumstances.
Let this day be another reason to say, "Mom, thank you for everything."
