I was rushing around this morning and noticed a couple in a cafe. The man was telling him something, and the woman was simply smiling at him so calmly and warmly, as if his mere presence made her feel good. 💛
And I suddenly thought how rare this kind of intimacy is these days. No show, no games, no attempt to impress. Just two people who feel comfortable together.
I think with age, you begin to value completely different things. Not grandiose words, but stability. Not perfection, but sincerity. You want to come to someone not because you're bored, but because being with them makes you feel calm and good inside.
