I think about this every time I scroll through my phone, looking for someone real. We have so many opportunities these days—yet so few real-life encounters. It’s a paradox, isn't it? Thousands of people within a five-kilometer radius—and the feeling that you’re completely alone.
My dad says, "We didn't choose from a hundred options. We were simply there, close to one another—and that turned out to be more important than anything else." I listen to him and feel a twinge of envy. A good, quiet kind of envy.
It seems to me that we’ve forgotten how to simply be together. We look for the perfect match, keep scrolling, compare, and doubt. But love, perhaps, doesn't thrive on endless choice. It emerges where there is space for a living, authentic moment 💫
Sometimes I wish I could be at one of those old dances. To hear live music, to feel someone looking at me—truly looking, not through a screen. A dream? Maybe. But I believe in it ✨
What do you think—has it become harder to find love, or have the rules of the game simply changed? And did your parents ever tell you how they met? I’d love to hear your stories 💬
