I looked at my friends bragging about restaurants, bags, and trips. And somewhere deep down I was envious. I thought, "This is it, this is how it should be."
BUT.
Then I realized—I had no idea what real attention was.
I look at what's happening now—girls at 25 are making lists of demands like they're for a tender. A car of at least a certain make, an apartment, a watch, vacations four times a year...
And the man? He's somewhere beyond that list. Like an adjective for property.
It makes me sad. Honestly. 💔
Because I know men who work hard not for the show, but for the family they don't have yet. Who are ready to give everything—not with things, but with themselves. With time. With presence. With reliability.
And they're tired of feeling like ATMs.
Maturity is when you stop testing a man with a restaurant receipt.
It's when you care more about how he talks to his mom on the phone. How he reacts when you're in a bad mood. Whether he laughs at the same things you do.
An expensive dinner will be forgotten in a week.
But a person who chooses you every day is for life. 🌿
I'm not judging anyone. We all go through something. But honestly, I'm glad I grew out of it. That I learned to see a person, not his wallet.
And you know what? I think men sense it. When you're real, they're drawn to you in a completely different way. 🙂
Do you agree? Or am I wrong?
