Gaming guys are the best for family

I'm Catholic, raised with fairly traditional values, and I have almost no personal relationship experience. So I won't pretend to speak from experience.

But my friend Masha has enough experience for both of us.

She's dated "status" guys. Handsome guys from the gym. Guys who drove cars more expensive than her apartment. And every time, the same story: too much fun, inattentive, living "on the street" more than at home. 😔

And then he showed up. Quiet, in a sweater, with a mug of tea and some tournament on the screen.

And you know—for the first time in years, she doesn't wait for him. He texts. He stays home. He suggests spending the evening together. 💛

I look at them from the outside and think: maybe it's precisely this personality type that makes all the difference? A person who knows how to enjoy home, comfort, and something constant? Gamers, after all, are naturally loyal. One game for hundreds of hours. One beloved world. One team. 🎮

For me, with my values, this makes perfect sense. Loyalty is a matter of character, not an accident.

I don't know how this works from the inside of a relationship. But from the outside, it looks very convincing. 🙏

Have you observed this—with your friends, with your acquaintances? Have you noticed this pattern?
