Today I was driving about my business. I was in a good mood, the weather was nice, and it seemed like the day would pass peacefully.

But at one intersection, something completely unexpected happened.

Another driver decided to change lanes too abruptly, literally at the last moment. I managed to brake, but I couldn't completely avoid the collision. Luckily, no one was hurt.

That wasn't even the most unpleasant part.

When you get out of the car after such a moment, your hands start shaking. You replay those few seconds over and over in your head and think, "What if I had been going a little faster?..."

Later, it became clear that it wasn't my fault at all. The other driver admitted their mistake and apologized. But, to be honest, it still left a bad taste in my mouth.

I guess after any incident like this, you realize even more clearly how fragile life can be. Sometimes, one mistake by someone else can change everything.

I arrived home more tired mentally than physically. I made myself some tea, sat by the window for a long time, and thought about how important it is to be considerate of each other. Not just on the road, but in life in general.

Sometimes simple caution and a little respect can save someone from great misfortune.
