Sometimes I look at photographs, close my eyes, and imagine standing there. I can almost hear the endless roar of the water, feel the cool mist touching my skin, and smell the fresh scent of the rainforest after the rain. It feels so real that I almost believe I've been there in another lifetime.
There is an old legend about Iguazu. It tells the story of two lovers who tried to escape together, but a jealous god split the river apart, creating the mighty waterfalls that separated them forever. Since then, people say the mist still carries whispers of their love through the jungle.
Maybe that's why this place fascinates me so much.
I like to imagine that if i stand quietly enough, without speaking, the waterfalls will tell me something meant only for me. Not with words... but with feelings. As if nature remembers every promise, every kiss, every goodbye that has ever happened beneath its rainbows.
Some places are simply beautiful.
Others feel alive. For me, Iguazu belongs to the second kind. It feels like a place where reality and magic meet for just a moment... where the jungle keeps ancient secrets, butterflies dance through the mist, and every rainbow is a reminder that hope always returns after the storm.
One day I hope I'll stop imagining and finally see it with my own eyes💙✨
