A small story

I have never written in a blog. I found this little story of an unknown author, in Spanish. My native language I tried to translate it. And I would like it to be published. Thank you very much.
Would you marry the most beautiful person in the world?
A beautiful princess was looking for a husband. Noble and wealthy suitors came from everywhere with wonderful gifts, jewels, lands, armies, money ....
Among the candidates was a young plebeian who had no wealth but love and perseverance, when he got the time to speak said the following: - "Princess I have loved you all my life, as I am a poor man and I have no treasures to give you, I offer you my sacrifice as a proof of love. I will be 100 days under your window, with no more food than the rain and no more clothes than what I wear now. This will be my fortune for you. "-
The princess moved by such gesture of love decided to accept. - "If you pass that test you will marry me" -.
Thus passed the hours and the days, the suitor stepped out of the palace, enduring the sun, the winds, the snow and the freezing nights. Without blinking with his eyes fixed on the balcony of his beloved, the brave subject remained firm in his efforts, without faltering for a moment.
From time to time the curtain of the real window showed the slender figure of the princess who with a noble gesture and smile approved the task. Everything was going swimmingly.
Bets were placed and some optimists began to plan the festivities. When day 99 arrives,
The inhabitants of the area went out to cheer the next monarch. Everything was joy and fun, but when there was an hour to complete the deadline. Before the astonished look of the assistants and the perplexity of the princess the young man got up and without giving any explanation he slowly left the place where he had remained a hundred days.
A few weeks later, while wandering a lonely road, a child from the region caught up with him and began to ask him point-blank: - "What happened to you, you were one step away from achieving the goal? Why did you lose that opportunity? Why did you retire? " With deep consternation and ill-concealed tears.
The plebeian answered in a low voice: - "the princess did not save me a day of suffering, not even an hour. I did not deserve my love. "
I hope this little story makes you understand many things. Get your own conclusions. Thanks for your attention
