Why do some people live to 105 and work, while others die at 60, despite taking care of their health?

...At first glance, it seems unfair: some people haven't taken care of their health their entire lives, could eat regular food, engage in heavy physical labor, and still live to a ripe old age. But others counted calories, exercised, had checkups, and encountered serious problems much earlier.

The main reason is a complex combination of genetics, lifestyle, and random factors. Genetics plays a huge role. Some people are born with better cellular repair mechanisms, a stronger cardiovascular system, and greater resistance to age - related changes. Such people may have a "reliability" that others lack.

But genes alone can't explain everything. Many centenarians share common habits: they are constantly active, spend a lot of time outdoors, have a purpose in life, maintain social connections, and are less exposed to chronic stress. Their activity is often natural - not workouts in the gym, but rather their daily routine.

Interestingly, heavy physical labor alone doesn't guarantee health. If a person works in poor conditions, suffers injuries, has an unhealthy diet, or is exposed to harmful influences, this can shorten life. But moderate, consistent activity, on the contrary, helps maintain muscle, heart, and brain health.

How a person treats their body also plays a significant role. Modern medicine allows for early detection of diseases, but it can't completely eliminate the influence of age, heredity, and external factors. Sometimes a person does everything right but still develops a disease that can't be completely prevented.

It turns out that the secret to a long life isn't a single magical factor. It's a combination of good genes, exercise, nutrition, mental state, environment, and simply a fortunate combination of circumstances.

Stories of people working at 100 demonstrate that the human body is remarkably capable of maintaining activity for a long time. But this doesn't mean we can completely ignore our health. The best approach is to take care of ourselves, stay active, and understand that longevity depends not only on our actions but also on many factors that begin long before old age.
