My ultimate lifesaver in 30°c heat. 🍋🍹

Summer has been incredibly hot this year! On days like these, you don't even feel like eating anything, and regular drinking water quickly becomes boring and seems completely bland. Constantly buying store-bought soda isn't an option either; it makes you even thirstier because of the sugar. Yesterday, I decided to experiment a little in my kitchen and created the perfect summer refreshment that I can't stop drinking. 🤤

It's ridiculously simple and doesn't require any complex culinary skills or rare ingredients. Take a juicy, fresh cucumber, a couple of lemon wedges 🍋, a large bunch of fresh mint, and a little natural grapefruit juice for a piquant twist. Cut the cucumber into thin, translucent slices (it's what gives it that fantastic, light freshness!), lightly crush the mint with your fingers or a mortar to immediately release its ethereal aroma, add plenty of ice 🧊, and pour in chilled sparkling mineral water.

It's not at all cloying, incredibly fresh, and with a light, barely perceptible, pleasant bitterness on the finish. I now make a large three-liter glass pitcher in the morning and put it straight in the refrigerator to steep. As soon as I get home from the stuffy street, the first thing I do is turn on my favorite relaxing music, pour a glass full of steamy, fizzing bubbles... and all that crazy heat outside becomes so much easier to bear! 🌊 Be sure to try making it at home, it's a true salvation for hot weekdays.
