It is a bittersweet age where you finally stop worrying about what the world expects from you, and you start focusing entirely on what brings peace to your soul. If you have a few quiet minutes to spare today, I want to share the three simple truths that took me nearly five decades to truly understand.
First, I learned that the most painful endings are often just brutal packaging for a beautiful fresh start. When my marriage fell apart years ago and I discovered a history of betrayal, I thought my life was completely over. But walking into a bare, empty new apartment with nothing but my son by my side taught me resilience. Out of that deep wreckage, I built my own independent business, and it taught me that you can always recreate yourself at any age.
Second, I finally realized that staying loyal to your own boundaries takes far more courage than trying to please everyone else. For a long time, I thought keeping the peace meant swallowing my own feelings. But true maturity is learning to stand up for the people you love and walking away from environments that demand you diminish yourself just to fit in.
Lastly, I learned that a man's true value isn't found in beautiful, grand promises, but in his quiet, consistent actions. Life can be incredibly chaotic, but having someone who chooses to be the calm in your storm is the greatest luxury in the world. As I look forward to this new chapter of my life, I am so incredibly grateful for the strength I've found. What is one hard-learned lesson from your own journey that completely changed the way you look at the world today? 🌌❤️
Do wish me a happy belated birthday😉
