Allow yourself to make mistakes
id: 10052248

We're afraid of choosing the wrong person, saying the wrong words, making the wrong decision, or taking the wrong path. We think a mistake is proof of our weakness. But is life really complete without mistakes?

Sometimes we choose relationships that turn out to be wrong. Sometimes we trust someone who doesn't deserve it. Sometimes we pass up opportunities out of fear, and then regret it. And all of this is part of our journey.

Allowing yourself to make mistakes doesn't mean stopping to think about the consequences. It means stopping demanding perfection from yourself. A mistake may not be the end of the story, but an important chapter.

Don't scold yourself for once not recognizing the right person. Don't blame yourself for a step you didn't take. Don't endlessly dwell on the past, wondering, "What if I had done differently?"

You acted as best you could at the time, with the experience and understanding you had.

The main thing is to learn from it, preserve yourself, and keep moving forward. Sometimes it's mistakes that lead us to where we finally understand what we truly want.

Allow yourself to make mistakes. But never forbid yourself from starting over.
