Sometimes a man really does want to see you—and he's swamped with work.

Sometimes he texts you after midnight because he's been busy all day.

Sometimes he has kids, a business, a sick mom, exams, or just a really tough week.

And yes, sometimes he wants to see you, but can't.

That's normal.

But!

There's another part to this story.

If you spend months living in the "he's just really busy" mode, maybe he really is really busy.

Just not that busy with you.

And that, I think, is the main thing.

Don't make a man out to be a criminal for having a life.

But don't turn every bit of attention into proof of great love.

I like the adult version:

"I understand you're busy." But I need a relationship where there's room for me, too."

No hysteria.

No games.

No "well, that's it then, bye."

Just the facts.

I guess adult love is less of a guessing game.

You don't sit around with your friends and investigate.

You just look at his actions.

And how you feel around him.

If you constantly have to explain to yourself why you feel good, maybe it's time to stop being the relationship's lawyer.

And if a person truly wants to be there, it's usually not a mystery.

Not necessarily 24/7.

But it's clear enough.

And honestly, what a luxury it is not to have to decipher anything. 😌
