Just a week ago, Kyiv was stuffy, but now in the evening I want to throw on a cardigan. The air has become clear, crisp like an unmistakable diagnosis. Autumn is on the doorstep. And I caught myself wondering: how many more springs and summers like this will I have? And most importantly, with whom?
We put off tomorrow : confessions, walks, silly text messages. We think we'll have time. But time doesn't wait even for oncologists. It just blows September in your face.
I don't want to do everything, but I want to do what's most important. To hear someone else's laughter in the kitchen when it's already dark outside. To stand still on the bridge, looking at the Dnieper, and not say a word. Just be.
If you, too, feel this wind of change and don't want to greet autumn alone, write. Let's not waste these evenings. They're too good to live them out on your phone.
Don't you think so, dear men?
