One time, I went to a competition and was very serious. I prepared everything in advance: packed my uniform, checked my shoes, set my alarm... Basically, I felt like a true professional.
Only in the morning, I realized I'd mixed up the time.
I arrived so early that the organizers were just starting to set everything up. One man looked at me and asked, "Are you sure you're participating?" 😄 I replied, completely serious. He looked at the empty hall, then at me, and said, "Then you're first."
In the end, I sat alone for almost an hour, watching the competition gradually come to life around me.
The funniest thing is, I didn't take first place that day. But for some reason, I remember that competition better than many victories.
Probably because sport isn't just about medals. It's about people, adrenaline, funny mistakes, supporting each other, and the feeling that you've done a little more than you thought you were capable of.
And yes, I still set my alarm. I just check it twice now. 😄
