I don't consider myself a spendthrift at all. I have a budget, I track my expenses, and every penny saved is a penny earned, as they say. But there are some things I don't care about the price tag on. And those aren't bags or restaurants.

I spend money on my time.

Sounds pretentious? Perhaps. But let's be honest: we sell our time for money. It's the basics. So why not buy it back when we can?

For example, cleaning every two weeks. Yes, I can wax the floors myself. But I'd rather sit with a book or go to the gym while someone professionally cleans my apartment. That's not laziness. It's an investment in my resources.

I also spend money on education. Not on "how to become a millionaire in three days" courses, but on real things. Last year, I learned English to level B1. Not for work, but for myself. Simply because I wanted to understand the lyrics of songs played on the radio. And you know, it's awesome.

And yes, I buy expensive coffee. Not because I'm a snob. But because a morning with good coffee sets the tone for the entire day. And I don't see the point in skimping on what makes me happy every morning.

But what I hardly spend money on is brand names. I don't need a 100,000-ruble logo bag to feel successful. I need a comfortable bag that can fit a laptop and a sandwich. And if it costs 3,000 rubles and lasts three years, I'm happy.

So yes, my friend only sees the price tag on a coffee maker. But I see hundreds of mornings when I wake up and the first thing I do is enjoy a cup of espresso. And for that, I'm ready to wear these boots for a third season.
